Discover the power of history and the need to learn from it.

The Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre is an initiative designed to make history accessible and exciting.

Established in memory of the late British historian Sir Martin Gilbert, the Centre offers engaging programmes across the year, based on the subjects Sir Martin spent his life exploring: Modern Jewish History, the Holocaust, the First and Second World Wars, and Winston Churchill.

Sir Martin Gilbert History Prize 2020

We invited UK Year 11 & Year 12 students to produce an original piece of work relating to the life and/or legacy of Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) informed by original sources. The competition is in honour of the late Sir Martin Gilbert, the great historian and Churchill biographer.
