Lady Gilbert, Sir Martin’s widow, is director of Martin Gilbert Publications Limited and oversees his legacy. She is the creator and editor of three volumes of Holocaust Memoir Digest, and has been involved in Holocaust commemoration and education since 1983. She is co-founder of the Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre as a way to perpetuate Sir Martin’s method of studying History.
