Ruth Green

Ruth is a counsellor and a past Chairman of Highgate Synagogue. As a Vice President of UJIA and a Trustee of JLGB, Ruth is keen to develop opportunities for young people to engage with their heritage and Israel through the Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre.

When Highgate Synagogue was being rebuilt, Ruth was keen for the building to become not only a building for prayer, but also a centre for learning and communal activity. In honour of our past member, Sir Martin Gilbert, the community decided to dedicate our library in his name and to create a programme of activity which would be an asset to our congregation, reach beyond the community and continue his work and teachings for a wider audience.
