What was it like to be a Jewish Soldier in the American Civil War?

10 May at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Union army was as diverse as the nation it sought to preserve—a mix of ethnicities and identities—but less accommodating to religious outsiders. This talk will explore the everyday experience of Jewish soldiers in Abraham Lincoln’s armies with a particular focus on their efforts to create community within the ranks.

Attendees in the US: this talk starts at 11.00am (Pacific Time)/ 2.00pm (Eastern Time). To check your local time, visit: https://www.worldtimebuddy.com
